I want to commend our students and staff in their support of the United Way fundraising campaign this year. Collectively, Red Oak Middle raised over $6,000 to support our local United Way and all of projects. This is a true win for our community and demonstrates service-minded leadership which we all strive for. In athletics: The volleyball team finished in 1st place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will host the semi-finals of the conference championship this Wednesday. They will be playing Elm City starting at 4:00... Hilliard is on the gate. The soccer team finished in 1st place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will host the semi-finals of the conference championship this Wednesday. They will be playing Springfield starting at 4:00... Poythress is on the gate. The football team finished in 2nd place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will be playing in the Sugar bowl at Springfield on Thursday starting at 4:00. The girls tennis team won the Tri-Counties Conference Championship with a record of 5-2. Thank you to all of our families with your patience with the notorious Red Oak Car Line. Good afternoon Red Oak Family! We wanted to let you know that we conducted a practice lockdown drill today. Everything went smoothly and staff and students executed their roles perfectly. Again this was just a practice drill. We also experienced a brief water shortage, but the town has fixed the issue. Thanks

Good afternoon 7th Grade Families! This message is to inform you that all Seventh Grade students in North Carolina are required to have up-to-date immunizations. Those out of compliance have received two letters this year and a third will be coming home today. If the immunizations are not received by Wednesday, your child will not be able to return to school until this requirement is met. Again, this is North Carolina law and there are free clinics Tuesdays at the Nash County Health Department. Details are included in the letter your child received. If they have not received a letter, your child is in compliance and this message is not directed at you. Thank you and call the school with any questions.
